The World of Duplicity Behind Original Cigars

In today’s world almost every nice thing gets copied to gain their fraudulent advantage and exploit them commercially. It’s not only things that are long lasting that get replicated but also things of perishable and intimate nature also falls in the same category. Cuban cigars are considered to be a niche product made for the elite, but they have also not remained untouched from the nimble fingers of the fraudsters.

The reason behind the duplicity of cigars lies in its continuous golden run. Initially premium cigars such as Montecristo cigars were expensive and were out of reach of common men. To overcome this situation and get the common men a taste (including habit) of it, people started replicating it with cheaper ingredients. The idea was to get a cheaper version of the higher versions. Although the copy was mostly limited to appearances but since most of the people were unaware of the exact taste and feel of the original ones, the duplicate ones flourished in the market. They flourished so much so that more and more people started copying the original ones. The continuous duplication made fraudsters even come close to the taste and feel of the original ones. Today there is a parallel industry for duplicate cigars.

In the recent past several measures have been taken by the manufacturers of the original and popular cigars such as Havana cigars and Montecristo Cuban cigars to save their patrons from the clutches of fraudsters.

Such measures are as follows:

Quality ingredients: Original cigars always taste the way they have always been. The connoisseurs of cigars are well aware of the original products. With just a single puff they can discover the genuineness of a cigar. Real cigars are always made with real, costly ingredients; the tobacco used in them is from a particular plant and region, whereas a lower quality tobacco is used in lower versions to keep their prices in control.

Well rolled and presented: Being of uniform shape, size and thickness, original cigars have standardized appearance every time. But the copied cigars may differ in their outer appearance every time.

Originality marks such as watermark, seals, stamps etc.: A real cigar or its outer carton consists of all the marks such as stamps, watermarks, seals etc. to claim the authenticity of the cigar. These marks don’t appear on the fake ones.

Cigar smoking is fun and passion at the same time. Its enjoyment can be enhanced by going for the original ones.
